The Problem
After removal of the repository in OneDrive and reinstallation of Joplin, the old notes could still appear in the newly installed Joplin which is undesirable. The cause of this problem is the old notes are also stored in a hidden folder on the PC.
The Solution
To enable a clean re-installation, follow these steps:
- Before uninstall the app, export all notes using the option File -> Export All -> RAW-Joplin Export Directory.
- Uninstall Joplin.
- In OneDrive, remove the folder /Apps/Joplin.
- On the PC, go to the user home directory, remove the “joplin-desktop” folder under .config.
- Reinstall Joplin.
- Import the above exported file. The directory structure is retained after the import.
- Sync the notes to remote.
